The place where we explore fun and different places to lay our heads! (and feet!) In honor of South Florida’s temperatures dipping into the 30′s last month, I explored places to sleep that are beautiful but REALLY too cold for the Goldilocks in me-(this bed is just right…)
Sorrisniva Igloo hotel, Alta, is Europe’s northen most ice hotel and is loced in the Finnmard reagion. It has 30 rooms and includes an ice chapel, ice gallery and ice bar where drinks are served in ice glasses,.
The world’s first ice hotel was built in the village of Jukkasjarvi, Sweden., in 1989. A new one is bulit and exists every year between December and April.
And a little closer to home, is the Hôtel de Glace, located on the shores of Lac-Saint-Joseph, Quebec. It operates from the first week in January to the last week in March.
Enjoy!
