Marketing Sleep For Babies -

Do you know when it is the best time to shop at Wal-Mart? Yup, you guessed it, it’s those magical hours anywhere between 10 pm and 6 am. Usually other night owls are there along with the diligent clerks busily stocking the shelves. It’s a good time to wander through the baby section to find just the right present for a baby shower. Being in Sleep, the word itself always catches my eye and I saw a ‘onesie’ in bright yellow with the phrase ‘Sleep is for the Weak’ printed on the front.  NOT the best message to send out to tired parents!  Johnson and Johnson has a MUCH more positive approach with their  Johnson’s Bedtime Wash.
From the company-

JOHNSON’S® BEDTIME BATH®

Use in a warm bath as part of your nightly routine.

Dreamland awaits. JOHNSON’S® BEDTIME BATH® is formulated with NATURALCALM ™ essences – a special blend of calming aromas. Use this gentle cleanser for your baby’s nighttime bath as part of a 3-step nightly routine to help her sleep better.

  • Releases calming aromas when added to a warm bath
  • NO MORE TEARS® formula is as gentle to the eyes as pure water
  • Formulated with NATURALCALM ™ essences – a special blend of soothing aromas.

Did you know?
A nightly routine that includes a warm bath using JOHNSON’S® BEDTIME BATH®, followed by a massage with JOHNSON’S® BEDTIME LOTION®, and quiet time, is clinically proven to help babies fall asleep easier and sleep through the night better. Visit our Baby Care section of the site to learn more about developing a healthy nightly routine.

Now, how smart was that?  I bought at least $30 of their products for my daughter’s baby shower and told all my friends about it!  It was  a positive message, with helpful and practical advice.
Getting less sleep when you have a baby?  Sure!  But  it’s a small price to pay to hold an angel in your arms…
